Due to a shortage on Doctors the practice will operate an urgent service only on Monday 18th November. Routine GP appointments will not be available for booking on Monday. We would ask that patients do not contact or come to the practice on Friday to book routine appointments. Routine appointments will be available for booking again on Monday 18th November for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
From 1st July 2024 we will no longer be accepting repeat prescription orders from local pharmacies on behalf of patients.
Due to the increasing workload pressures being experienced across general practice, the Doctors have reviewed the prescription processing times for acute and repeat prescription requests.
After 31st August 2023 patients will no longer be able to order their repeat prescription via email. The repeat prescription email address will no longer be available after this date.
From 24th April 2023 the practice GP appointment system will change from a telephone consultation first system to being able to pre-book a face to face consultation with the Doctor.
If you are between the ages of 16 and 64 with symptoms of a lower urinary tract infection (LUTI) you will now be ale to self refer to a local participating pharmacy for advice and treatment without having to speak to a GP.
The practice currently has practice nurse appointments available, and we would encourage these patients to avail of the opportunity to make an appointment to have their regular cervical smear test, if it due.
The weekly Baby Clinic is held each Tuesday morning in Great James Street Health Centre
If you need either of these certificates, please do not telephone or come to the surgery!
